Vase#2
Vase #2 is the second product in an architecture inspired series of vases. This second concrete vase is a tribute to the design and form of Frank Lloyd Wright's Guggenheim Museum in New York. Because of my love for architecture and my architectural background I have been inspired to develop a series of vases based on the work of the architects I admire.
Vase #2 is made out of rotation moulded concrete. Rotation moulding is an industrial process normally reserved for plastics; I built a custom machine to create the thinnest possible concave shapes for my vases. The inside of the vase is acrylic resin coated which makes it watertight.
